Monday, Week 5, Day 1

Today's workout was strength and stretch:
I wanted to watch the rest of Biggest Loser from last week, so I went and jumped on my elliptical for 30 minutes of interval training, and then I did 20 minutes of free weights, 100 crunches, and stretched; all while watching my favorite show.
I've notice there is a lot more camaraderie between the contestants and the teams this season. I really enjoy seeing them all encouraging one another for a change. That is how it should be!
I was so shocked and disappointed that they sent Dane home. I can see that he would have been a huge threat...but he also was a huge asset to their team. To keep them above the yellow line, and to help them win challenges. I was just shocked. But right after I finished watching the show, I saw this on my computer screen. To read the story, click here
I was wondering how in the world he finished a full marathon in only 3 hours and something. I was like "wow, he was flying! how did he do that?!" Well, the above link tells the "real story" and makes much more sense. But I still think it was great that he ran a marathon with his wife. He could have never done that before Biggest Loser.

wow...I clicked that NBC link and have been reading that and the comments following it for like 30 minutes (too long!) but anyway...that is crazy! I don't like anything that would show The Biggest Loser in a negative light as I believe it really is changing peoples lives. As a matter of fact, I KNOW it is changing peoples lives. I know people in my own little world who have change their lives BECAUSE of this show. So what if Dane did something a little "false"...that isn't good...but it's not The Biggest Loser's fault. Even the decietful field producer...isn't responsible for the WHOLE show. I think it is unfortunate that this happened...but let's be sure we all have the plank out of our own eyes before we go messing with other peoples'.

I don't read the comments people leave on those stories...they are usually clueless, rude, and just plain mean. Can't put myself through that torture! LOL!

It IS changing lives...he would have never dreamed of doing a marathon before Biggest Loser changed his life. I was proud of him, even if the field producer was deceitful with his story. He did go back and finish, and that just shows that he isn't a quiter. Way to go Dane!!!

lol - I was wondering the same thing about the marathon! thanks for the scoop - I'll have to read it. So disappointed that they voted him off instead. That was just a pity vote and I hate that.
